Akk. n. af þverr) 1) beittuþá sem þverast austr fyrir landit allttil þess er fjörðr varð fyrir þeim eg. 33(678). 2) modvilligen; taka e-u þvertdvs. optage noget paa saadan Maade at man røber sin Uvilje, Modvilje, eg. 71(17022); Fm.
