tjaldstaðr, m. Sted hvor man opslaar, har opført Telt; B. konungr mun hér nátt-stað hafa ok tjaldstað í nátt; þeir -hugðu at, hvar beztr mundi vera tjald-staðrinn Flat. II, 12737 fgg; hann sendimenn sína upp á heiðina, þar semorrostustaðrinn var ákveðinn, skylduþeir taka þar tjaldstaði ok búast þarum, áðr herrinn kœmi Eg. 52 (10519).
