umfangsmikill, adj. saadan at man ikkevil holde sig rolig, men derimod finderpaa, giver sig af med meget og mangt,som man vil gjøre; berserkirnir gjörðustnú umfangsmiklir ok skotruðu GrettiGrett. 4414; með því at þessi maðr varumfangsmikill ok hinn mesti gárungr,átti hann kenningarnafn ok kallaðrglaumr Grett. 1605; Finb. 107 (c. 6).
