úskyldr, adj. 1) ubeslægtet med nogen(e-m); hverr er helgan anda hefir, elskarnánga sína sem sjalfan sik ok dugir eigiat eins frændum sínum ok vinum, heldrok útlenzkum ok óskyldum ok úvinum- Hom. 977; nú er arfr þessi kominnundir úskylda menn okkr Eg. 9 (1824);skyldr eðr úskyldr Flat. I, 4720. 2) saadan at man dertil ingen Forpligtelsehar, ikke behøver at gjøre det, = úskyld-ugr; þú vaktir þetta mál fyrri, ok varþér at úskylt Fm. VI, 3697; S. ásakarsik ákafliga fyrir þá freistni ok undir-hyggju, er hann veitt hafði meðr ú-skyldu sínni móður, ok dregit at hennidauðanet Æf. 167.
