Ulykke som kommer ufor- varende over en, hvoraf man bliveroverrasket; var þat þeim hinn mestiúvísavargr Fris. 17637; ef honum varúvísavargr dvs. om han gjorde det ufor- varende, uforsætligen, Frost. 3, 116. 9,163 jvf Landsl. 4, 79; þó at hann alimann þann, er hann kann eigi ok erlýst innan fylkis, þá er honum óvísa-vargr Frost. 4, 415; ef maðr kallast eigivita griðsölu eða tryggvar er veittarero, ok kallar sér óvísavarg, at hanngékk á görva sætt, halda fyrir lýritar-eiði Frost. 5, 924; ef ármaðr kennir þatmanni, at hann hafi fœddan útlaganmann o. s. v., þá kveðr hann sér veraúvísavarg - Gul. 2025 jvf 15 fg.
