I, 23318; om Gjer-ning: úvíst er at senda bundinn mannok skýra eigi sökina Post. 23224 (Ap.Gj. 25, 27). 2) ukyndig om noget (e-s);spyr slíks sem þér sýnisk, heldr en þikiðri eptir, ok gangir þú fyrir því úvíssþess, er þik forvitnar Kgs. 5810. 3) ubekjendt; segja fyrir óorðna hluti okóvísa Flat. I, 7724; úvísir eru mönnumhættir hans Flat. I, 3830. 4) uvis,usikker, tvilsom; honum sýndist óvístum brottför sína dvs. usikkert, hvorledesdet kunde blive med hans Bortreise, Flat.II, 1808.
