I, 11318; kvað þenna lutmeð engu móti mega öðruvis bœta, efhann vildi vánarmaðr vera, en at hannskæri af sér sköpin Mar. 8528; ek verðfyrir hennar árnaðarorð vánarmaðr ádómsdegi Mar. 41322; helgir menn okvánarmenn Mar. 3509. 2) Person somnogen (e-s) har at forsørge (jvf þyrmsla-maðr, vánarvölr, ganga á ván).
