(dd) beklage sig over noget (um e-t) som sætter en i Forlegen-hed; hann vandræddist þó um firirvinum sínum, hversu hann skildi meðhöndum hafa þau harðindi, sem hannþóttist af biskupi fá Bp. I, 28928; núþraut þá lýsit, ok vandræddust þeirum, ok báðu konur fá sér lýsi Bp. I,59614; Heilag. I, 24333; kona hans vand-ræddist um þat, hversu lík hans skylditil grafar fœra Leif. 13730; upers. e-mvandræðist um e-t dvs. en befinder sig i Forlegenhed med Hensyn til noget, DN.VIII, 10212.
