velkominn, adj. velkommen; er þeir kómuat neðan, þá féllust þeim allar kveðjurer fyrir vóru. S. mælti: allir sé vérvelkomnir. H. stóð í anddyrinu - hónmælti: þat mun engi mæla sá er fyrir er,at þér séð velkomnir Nj. 92 (14016 fgg);gerði hann bréf í móti erkibiskupi -at hann skyldi guði velkominn ok sváhonum Fm. IX, 37321; setr hana niðrí hjá sér ok biðr hana vara guði vel-komna Clar. 2328 (jvf senda e-m kveðjuguðs ok sína).
