verpill, m. 1) Kar med Bund i begge En- der til deri at opbevare flydende, drik-kende Varer; hann rendi ok af verplivænan drykk í stórt stéttarker ok tóksíðan til matar Vatsd. 3 (530); skyldiker standa við siglu, er drykkrinn varí - en sumr drykkr var í verplum, okvar þaðan bœtt í kerit, svá sem ór vardrukkit Eb. 39 (6916); mjöðr var í ein-um verpli Mar. 1097; Fm. VI, 26322. IX,3554. XI, 3421. 23321. 2) Terning, =teningr; kasta verplum til fjár sér Grg.II, 16921.
